Posts: 99 | Right now ive have a 5 and a 6 inch glider in the shape shown above. The 5's are 3/4 inch thick and a inch and a half deep. The 6's are also 3/4 inch thick, but are 2 inches deep. I also have made a prototype pike glider that is 7.5 inches and 1.5 inches deep (shown on the baby muskie patterns post). They are all made out of tight grained red cedar but i am expirimenting with cherry as well. As of now im am not selling any of them and have only gave a few away to friends. Hopefully i can get out and test a few out on some muskies soon.

Posts: 99 | Thanks for the comments. Ive been living on this site for the last couple of months and it has really helped me figure out how to make a good lure. Solar your tips have really improved my painting quickly and im sure you noticed the scale patterns on some of them as well as the baby pike. One in particular helped me put on a clinic at the river on the closer for a guy near me fishing with live bait who had no luck. Its a good feeling catching somthing on your own lure thanks guys for helping me do that.

Posts: 99 | "look alot like gliding raps" Im a big fan of the glidin raps and have caught a lot of fish on them. However, the glidin raps did not have enough colors and were a pain to get if you lost one in the river. So, originally the bait was designed simply to minmic a glidin rap in every way. The difference between the two is the thickness, type of wood, weight, and simpily being hand made. Once i started testing the lure i found it much easier to work, even for someone less expirienced with glide baits. The bait had a longer glide path and a better action than even i expected. As for selling them I would like to see how they hold up for at least a season to make sure there are no underlying problems and making sure im selling a quality bait. If you see anything you like though or have a color in mind send me a message and we could work somthing out. Edited by grandriverglidebaits 5/17/2012 11:51 PM
