Looking at getting into something a bit bigger than my esox mag but garage space will not allow bigger than 18'. My question is what can I expect performance wise with a 150 pro xs and how well does it fish 3 people with a rear deck? Does anyone have any pics of a single counsel model...front deck ext. Post them or send them to [email protected].
Thanks

I've owned two 1760 DW's(full windshield models). If it weren't for the X190, I'd still be in a 1760. I ran 51.5 mph with a 150 Opti, you should see anywhere from 1-3 mph more with the Pro XS.

I used it fishing three guys on an occasional day trip here and there. In my opinion, three was no problem, especially if you were to have a single console. Is it a boat I'd want to spend everyday fishing three out of? Probably not. Main reason is, I'm not used to fishing three everyday I'm on the water.

If it were me, since your interested in a single console, I'd suggest the 1760 GT model, that would fish three very well and provide a little extra room without the top cap gunnel.

All in all, the 1760 is very hard to beat, it fishes much bigger than it actually is and wouldn't feel hesitant to take that boat on any big water out there.

i run the single console 1760 gt with the esox rear casting deck and have no problems fishing 3! The front deck is huge and can handle 2 anglers nicely. i cannot speak on the 150 however because i am only running a 115 4-stroke on mine and run consistantly around 40mph. would love to have the extra horses but it seems handle the boat nicely. you will love the boat!

I run a 04 Tuffy 1760 Osprey single console with a 150HP Optimax.

Performance is really good---low 50s, good gas mpg, amazing hole shot, smooth steering and riding boat---takes rough water really well. Big front deck and lots of floor space--I take the passenger seat out when fishing alone---best laid out boat I have ever fished in for one person.

I fish about 90% of the time solo--and for that the boat is really amazing---one other guy really nice as well---never tried 3---but for me that would be a little too crowded.

If it was me I would fish 3 guys in it before buying---just to be sure!

Not to mention my -04 model transom is really low ---putting extra weight in the boat (another guy)--and adding a back deck would not be wise for my boat. Not to mention the fuel tank is in the stern as well--not well thought out.

After 04 they changed that so if your looking at the newer models it won't matter.

To be sure you get a lot more boat for the money than the other models.

I run an '06 1760 Esox with a 150opti. Call me if you want to ask some questions and if you're truly serious about checking it out, I dont think I live too far from you and we could take her out and you could see how you like the rig. 847/989-9271
