I am looking for a 9'+ rod for lighter bucktails, Muskie Killers to Giant Killer sized. Preferably under $250. Recommendations?

Tackle Industries are nice and nice price. Know you said 9ft + fenwick has some nice rods at 8ft 6inch.

A nine footer casts well, but IMO you will loose some felling with your bait, comparing it to a 8 or 7 feet classic bucktail rod.

To cast the Muskie Killer/giant well, you need a light rod in the 3 OZ class with a backbone, both Musky Innovation, Shimano, and St Criox have that kind og rods in their program. St Criox Premier PM76MHF is very well made, but more spezialized are Reactionstrike's Bulldawg SPRING / BUCKTAIL rods, available from 7 to 9 feet, 3/4 - 4 oz.
