| I dont have a store nearby to personally check out the balance. Will the revo toro 50 hs balance the st croix premier 8' mh well? Or will the Revo Toro 60 hs be better? Thank you for your opinion. Cheers. |

Location: Wisconsin River | The 50 holds plenty of line for a med/hvy rod and is alittle smaller to palm. The HS model is great for smaller spinners or med. jerk baits. for larger baits I would recomend the 5.4 or 4.6. If you are using 80# or more you may want the 60. |

| I've got 50 Winches on 8MH & 8H St. Croix Muskie Mojos and they seem well balanced to me. Keep in mind that the Mojos have split grips although I think the weight difference between split and 1 pc. grips is almost insugnificant. |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | 60 gets my vote if you are going to use 80 lb test braided line. 50 is fine for 65 lb braid. |

Location: Esbjerg - Denmark | I have both the 51 and the 61 Toros, and love them both...
The only downside (if you can call it a downside) to the 61 is, that when you palm the reel, it tends to soak your hands due to the wider spool. I use my 61 for allround heavy fishing from 2-3 oz grubs til pounders along with my 7,2 XH Mojo Muskie (a little over the top whit the pounders as far as the rod goes). The 61 gives you a feel, that you have a bit more power, as it beeing a bigger reel, but other than that, there is not much difference, as far as i consern.
I have medium size hands (i suppose), and have absolutely no problems whit palming the 61 - Use my 51 for glider-jerks on a 6 foot aprox 5 oz rod, and beeing a lighter setup, its perfect for the job.!
Go for the one that suites you best, and if your unsure, take the 60, as the bigger spool gives you a few more options of use... God luck.! |
