Location: Sycamore, IL | I am looking to make some trolling leaders and was wondering what you guys prefer: Flourocarbon
Single strand wire
7-Strand wire
Also, what length do you prefer?
What lb test should I consider?
Do you use knots/ haywire twist or crimps?
I am mainly going to be running crankbaits do I need to add a swivel or can I attach directly to my stay-loc snap/ solid ring?
Thanks for your insight!

| I special order all mine from Stealth Tackle
For open water or weed trolling I have him make me 60" 100# floro leaders
For wacking rock I had him make me 48" stranded wire leaders.
They come with a high quality ball bearing swivel and I had him put a welded ring on the end to attach bait with split rings. I don't use snaps ever.
Good Luck,
Jeff Hanson

Location: WI | I just use the Stealth brand flouro trolling leaders. No problems at all, but I don't fish rocky areas. |
