Location: Maplewood, MN | Do you snap on a top water during the spring? Personally I have never pulled a fish on topwater because I don't give them much time, but how many of you have confidence throwing topwater in spring? I know every lure has its time and place, but are muskies active enough in cold water periods to be successful on top? |

Location: Des Moines IA | Nope. Never caught a fish in spring on top. Caught all three of these within 24 hours in May though. All on a 10 inch weagle.

Location: Racine, Wi | If I'm throwing a topwater in spring (which I am a lot of the time), it's usually a WTD topwater. Myself and others I know have caught them with water temps in the 40s, and they really hit their stride when the water hits 55-65 degrees. |

| have done ok on small creepers and hawg wobblers. Have done very well on One Eyed Willy JR's even when the water is in low 50's but you need to work them slow.
Good Luck,
Jeff Hanson
