Location: Manitowish Waters WI | Today at Arbor Vitae Woodruff Elementary school the great Tony Rizzo came in as a guest speaker for our kindergarten class. AVW's school mascot is the Muskie, so I found it extremely ironic and cool that Mr. Rizzo graced our little ones with his stories and pictures of his childhood experiences in the Northwoods. Mr. Rizzo also donated a signed picture and his latest book to the school. I had a brief moment to chat with Tony and chuckled when I explained what type of Muskie nut I was and how I ended up a teacher at a school with a motto "home of the Muskies"!!! It was great to see a legend answering question about muskies with little kids. I hope more of this happens with youngsters to get the seed planted early and keep our sport alive and thriving. The kids absolutely loved it, so did I.

| What a great way to help get kids involved in fishing or at least create the excitement in them to want to go fishing. Pretty cool that one of the legendary "old timers" was willing to spend part of his day doing this. Other schools should take note not only fishing wise but outdoor activities like hunting and trapping that todays youth are not as exposed to as they were back in the day.
