| What have you guys found to be the warmest, most comfortable and best thermal underwear out there?
No I'm not talking about briefs, I mean long johns and long sleeve tops.
Any space age materials you guys think is tops?

| Pippo,
Damart, Inc. makes the warmest long underware I've ever used. It's made out of a thermolactyl material. I bought their "double force" top & pants in grey, along with a union suit (one piece red) also in the double force material for deer hunting. It's unbelievebly warm. The double force line is made especially for sedendary activities like ice fishing, deer hunting etc...
I tried to find them for you on the net at www.damart.com and got their international site. The link to Damart USA was not working at the time I checked. Their stuff is distributed by Damart, Inc.
1811 Wood Bury Ave. Portsmouth, NH 03805. You can probably get their phone number from 411.
Check their site sometime, maybe it will be functional. If not get their number from directory assistance, believe me it will be worth your efforts. I've had my stuff for over 10 years, and it wears like iron and stays warm. I also bought this special detergent in a big toothpaste tube from them called R.600. You add this to your wash to maintain the fabric integrity. It really works well.
Let me know how you make out. Hope this helps!

| Thanks Rich, I gotta check that out because I am sick of those cheap ones. I'll keep up on the site and if not I'll try 411. See ya on the chain.

| Nothing beats polypropolene underwear and if you can combine it with wool over that and a rain suit over that you can take on the world of weather |

I like Patagonia's Capilene expedition weight fleece undies. www.patagonia.com |

| I hunt in a tree stand quite a bit, sitting in brutal conditions with a bow. I have used the wool/poly triple layer long johns for several years, and like them. A trick! Sew a pocket between the shoulder blades just big enough to hold a shake- to- activate hand warmer, and use a light over shirt with two chest pockets armed with the same. Over clothes as normal. About 7 hours of warmth for your chest and back, no matter what you are doing. |

Phil;
The Big Goomba is right.Damart is a very good brand.
Cabelas polypro is also good . They're all variations
of polypropolene .
You might also look at a one piece medium weight
snow-mobile suit .We had them on at Shabbona Tuesday.
warm in the wind , open up when too warm .Use polypro
underneath when it gets cold .
good luck |

| I also use the Damart long johns. Great stuff, if it is really cold I put on a pair of Duofolds (cotton inside wool outside) first and then my Damarts.........toasty. |
