Just wanted to let everyone know that Cabela's has them on their website. They are currently on backorder, of course, and they don't have any specials running. But it's nice for those of us that don't have local retailers and have to order stuff in.

FYI, there are only a limited number of the reels available in the country. A lot of them have been pre-sold by the retailers so I'd make a phone call before hopping in the car. Shimano says next shipment will be mid April. If you are sure you want one and your favorite retailer is out. I'd consider asking to pre-purchase with delivery upon arrival. I think most places are willing to ship for free under those circumstances.

I assume you mean you ordered it, and didn't actually get it in the mail. Has anyone that said theirs was coming at the end of last week received their package?

To all that have received their TranX:

Where are all of the pictures and reviews? Are you happy with the purchase? What are your impressions after being able to see it in person and play with it for awhile? Has anyone gotten to try theirs out yet? You rich guys can't keep all of the fun for yourselves. I have to live vicariously through you.

Mine arrived at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday via FedEx. As far as how it feels in my hand, it's better than I expected -- it is much easier to handle than a Trinidad. Can't wait to get it on the water.

At Joe's in St. Paul today. Had a couple left. I was looking for a curado for my bass set up, but saw the Tranx in the case.

I'm going to wait it out and see how the first production holds up, especially since they pulled back the release once...
