Hi everyone, long time no post!!

Working in NW corner of North Dakota.
Whats the musky fishing like north of the border in SE Saskatchewan or SW manitoba?
Fishable populations?

been 5 years out of the loop, got a job now to have my summers back, no more 6 days a week- dark to dark paving all summer!!

Twins just turned 3yrs old, time to get em on the water.....and Mom and Dad too.

Unfortunately there are no fishable Muskies in Manitoba or Sask... With a couple of exceptions for Manitoba... One being Line Lake... stocked years ago, has a VERY small population left over from it being winter killed. Also there is small population you can find if on the Winnipeg River right around the Manitoba/Ontario boarder... The guys from Eagles Nest lodge will occasionally make their way up there (Looooong boat ride) and catch a few... but they mostly do well on the Ontario side on the west of White dog Dam.

Basically, LOTW will be the closest Canadian Muskies to North Dakota.

For alternatives, The Red River just north of Winnipeg at Lockport has the best Channel Cat fishing in the world... Lake of the Prairies has some decent gators in it along with some good Walleye. Western Manitoba is more known for its stocked trout lakes where 20-26" Browns and Rainbows can be frequently caught.
