Not sure what actually happened to Musky Buster, but I know Tyrant Tackle has had a few comparable lures on the market the last few years, so I don't think they bought them out. I can't believe Musky Buster could go out of business.

Before this thread gets out of hand, I welcome anyone to call me on the Musky Buster and Tackle Industry comparison to Tyrant Tackle. 920 866 1105

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Hi Ronix, Jeff Tilkens (Tyrant Tackle) and TI have worked together for 5+ years on various projects. Tyrant really liked our rods 2 years ago so we private labeled rods for them. Tyrant even put on their website they were built on a TI blank. Good company and they make most of their lures using a new foam technology that is really tough. Those topwaters are rock solid too and can take a beating. TI works with a lot of musky companies for manufacturing and other activities. TI is always happy to help others out (even my competitors). TI would be nothing without the help of a few select companies I met here. Some guys really went out of their way to help me get started and I was just told to pay it forward in the future ![]() Thanks, James

Their website is still up, not that that necessarily proves anything. Their facebook page hasn't been updated since September.

Posts: 572 | Although Lola looks similar to the lowrider, I would guess the differences show up in endurance, as well as, a different sound. I'll have to try one out. I wonder when Tyrant will come out with a "walk the dog" top water bait.
