Anyone ever use a weighted leader on topwaters? Wouldnt it make them have a different action?

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but why on earth would you want to use a weighted leader on a topwater lure?

Show them something different on top, also the weighted leader would prolly make a WTD lure swoosh differently and something like a top raider plop different. It was just a thought...
