Has anyone had the retractable rod buckles installed on the front deck of a Ranger Fisherman or Angler? Just looking at getting them installed and want to make sure there isnt anything behind the gunnel befor I cut into it.

Thanks.

I installed mine myself on my 02 620 - no prob. Have it on the port side, about half way up (between the cooler and the storage compartment lids) Like madman said, just cutting and removing a little foam behind.

Gotta tell you though, not the best feeling however... cutting into your $50k boat in the middle of "the office".

Have fun!
