Location: Stevens Point, WI | Is the power for the unit hooked up to your trolling motor batteries? If so, this is the first thing you need to change. The trolling motor batteries should only be hooked to the trolling motor, everything else should be connected to your starting battery.

| Sounds like electrical interference. Give Humminbird a call. They have a choke that gets rid of most of it and there is a good chance that they will send iit out for free to get you taken care of. |

Location: Davenport, IA | Humminbirds are known to have more interference with trolling motors than other brands. There are a few settings that can be adjusted. The worst case scenario would be to get one of these. http://store.humminbird.com/products/323062/TMC_1 |

| there's few things as frustrating as an interference "gremlin" in your boat!
the most common reason is running the sonar on the same batteries as the motor. if it's not that, there are lots of other possibilities to do with how it's rigged and where the wires run in relation to interference sources.
