Posts: 1405 Location: Detroit River | I've had my Luna 300L for 2 seasons now & it has held up great. I use it for jigging Bondy Baits, throwing mag dawgs, & also for sturgeon fishing. It only brings in about 22" or 23" of line per crank so it doesn't make for a good bucktail burner but does handle DC10's. I got mine on FleaBay for $216 shipped.

I have used 2 of them for the past 4 yrs and have been very happy with them. Smooth reel, nice feel. I throw a lot of mag dawgs and the reels have held up great.

Posts: 208 | I've had 2 of these reels for 4 years and love them. The only thing i don't use them for is BIG Blades unless i'm slow rolling. Have not had one issue with these reels. Cast like a dream. Not a fast reel however at 24" per turn.

Posts: 479 Location: Eden Prairie & Pine Island | I own a couple and like them pretty well, BUT they are known to have problems in really cold weather, e.g. anti reverse does not function properly becasue the cold actually contracts the gears ever so slightly and messes up the reel.

The main cause of the A/R Bearing not working in the cold is GREASE in the bearing will thicken up and cause the A/R Bearing to slip, I use Corrorsion X lube in that bearing. Never grease a A/R Bearing in any reel !!!!!!! If you are going to fish in Oct/Nov then you should relube your reels with a lighter lubes so your reel will be smooth and not freeze up in cold weather.

Posts: 245 | I've had mine for a year, i LOVE IT, it doesen't cast smaller lures that great though but once you get used to it it's not a problem. I use mine for magdawgs, big cranks and spinnerbaits, no problems what so ever.

Posts: 175 Location: Tonka, MN | Have had mine for 2 seasons and replaced the AR 3 times. Made it through the first season without any hiccups and then it kept going out. Spring, summer & late fall. Mainly tossing rubbers with it so I'm sure that has something to do with it. If this didn't consistently happen I would be more pleased with the reel.
