| I am looking for a place that has decent fishing for musky as well as other fish. I want to be able to take my girlfriend and her daughter who is 12. The problem with all of the places I would like to go is that her daughter would be bored with nothing to do. She just cant put down the #*^@ iphone haha. We live in hobart indiana so I would like some place not too far away somehting within 8 hours drive max. I have to take atleast one trip with them this year so that my buddy and I are able to go elsewhere that we wont be taking them. |

Location: oswego, il | Nightrunner, I know I pocked some fun on the other thread but here are some good suggestions. Deadhorse lodge on the turtle flambeau. Nice beach decent skies, loaded with easy to catch pike and some nice smallies and good walleye fishing. Not far from other lakes to jump to either. Fish tippy around the memorial day time frame. Take some time to fish just up the break from the good musky spots. Use a medium sized husky jerk or similar lure and cream the lm and white bass. The are not hard to find they will be busting minnows. |

| Pigeon Lake in Ontario might fit the bill and is not too rural (phone service) and close to a decent size town. This place is suppsed to be nice:

| this question comes up a lot. and I've been in a similar situation many times. the best compromise I have found is Eagle Waters Resort on the Eagle River Chain. www.eaglewaters.com. Take a look around the website. Can't imagine a place with more things for kids to do besides fish. Plus while the chain has lots of boating activity, there are tons of muskies. They don't get real big, but theres quite a lot of action once you figure them out. Good luck on your search. Let us know if you come across something else as others face the same dilema.

Location: Washington, PA | I would second Pigeon Lake. Not even 2 hours to Toronto if you wanted to spend some time in the city. Loaded with muskies, lot's of action. |
