| Dang.
I was hoping that the #3 qualifier would be on the Three Lakes Chain this time. I know that side much better. [:((]

| Looks like I'm out. Even if I didn't have a kid on the way, to not have one in MN where the fishing is way better (and a hell of a lot easier to prefish) I wouldn't spend the money going that far south for 2 dates. I wonder if the number of southern entries is the reason we've got the Cave and Il in the same year? That's a lot of travel for not much payout concidering they haven't filled a field yet.
What does everyone else think? |

| I, too wish they had come to MN with one again this year. My reasoning is that it's a Muskie circuit and far and away the largest fish caught have been in MN so far. A little tougher for big numbers of fish with the 40" size limit. But a good number of fish are caught in MN and they are ALL over 40". Just my thoughts.
Keep your eyes and ears open for a major tournament announcement for MN in a few weeks. Hope what I heard is true. Something about Vermillion. |

| Why not Iowa?[:p] |

|
| I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure the Invitational World Championship will be in Minnesota. In my opinion it should be the size lake for the championship!

| World Invitational Championship on Vermillion?
Who is in charge of this thing?

| I can probably tell you why not Iowa-the only lake(s) big enough to host a PMTT event would be Okoboji (4500 acres) or Big Spirit(3500 acres). Can you put 150 boats on either of those lakes without having guys hitting each others' boats with casts? If both lakes were included it might be ok, but with rec. boat traffic that rivals the Fox Chain in July, I wouldn't recommend having an event there until late Sept or early Oct.
Just my .02 cents. |

| IOWA=I Oughta Went Around[;)]
Minnesota. They gotta have something up there. Lord knows they can't count on the Queens for any entertainment!
Actually, I don't understand the 2 tournaments down south. But, then again, I don't fish them. So I guess my post is meaningless.
'Cept for the Iowa comment.[] Sorry, just couldn't resist. Actually, I ilke Iowa, in the fall, and only for roosters.[:praise:] |

| I too was a little disappointed when I saw the first two tourneys down south.
However, there are alot of PMTT teams from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Illinois.
There even was a team from Tennessee.
These southern tourneys are more convenient for them.
So there are quite a share of southern teams, although, I still think MN and Wisconsin teams outnumber the rest.

| I dont know have any facts, just opinions( and we all know the saying about opinions). But as I recall the PMTT schedule wasn't put out until last Jan. That is awfully late when trying to schedule things. From what I heard the reasoning behind this LATE publishing of the schedule was due to Minn's inability to issue the permits. My guess this is the reason as to why there isn't a Minn stop scheduled. It makes scense to schedule the championship there, for that can be published at a later date. Just my 2 cents worth. |

| I think now you can have every water system with the same point scale, leading up to the championship.I know there has been much talk about a 34 inch limit throughout the tourney, which now can happen going to minn last. Also you got to love two southern lakes to start. The last two may tourneys on the il chain and madison have been disapointing.Good luck to all .0723 Bill ramsey |
