Hey,

I think my fishing buddy and I are going to be going through Warroad tommorrow with some time to kill before we check into Sportsman's Lodge (Oak Island) for some walleye fishing. Let me know if you're free and we'll take you out to lunch at one of Warroad's finest dining establishments and trade war stories. I'll buy. (BTW, never been through Warroad, always been International Falls... do you at least have a Denny's ????)

Johnnie:

Thanks for the invite! Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) we are leaving in the AM for a couple of months in Tennessee. Looking for some open water, warmer weather, and a few southern muskies.

Try the Patch, right along the highway across from the Marvin Window plant. There's also a DQ right at the stop light where you turn to go north on 313.

Good luck on the LOTW's walleyes and saugers, they've been going good.

DougJ, I talked to Jackpot just after he posted and explained that you might be in TN. He did not realize that you run off to TN for water that your lure doesn't bounce when it lands. Good luck.

Doug,

Thanks for the reply and the Warroad info. Enjoy your time in TN, and good luck on the southern 'skis.

Gerard,

When I broke the news to Mickelson, he started to cry. He wouldn't stop until I promised to read him a bunch of In Fistherman LOTW trolling articles on the drive up.

Why would anybody stop in Warroad anyway? From what I've heard that is just the name of the place they dump the snow after plowing two long stretches of highway. Did I get wrong information? Eh?

It was a balmy -17  below when we left this morning. A tropical paradise.
