Looking for some insight...in your experience what is the largest size lure that you would consider throwing in early March. Planning my first trip to Cave Run and trying to decide what tackle to bring? In general I have thrown smaller baits(4"- 6") during this time frame...with less than stellar results:( Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks, Matt

Ive caught fish in March on 10" Jakes. I personally wouldn't rule anything out. I probably would not throw pounders but mag dawgs would see water. I think that weather and conditions are more of a factor than presentations. I too have had very spotty success early in the season. You really have to hit it just right.
