FYI-Brian Gilmore will have a good selection of Tackle Industries lures at the show this year and will also be taking "show" orders for TI rods. You will just let Brian know the rod you want, pay and then I will drop ship to your door.

I'm not making the trip to the show this year but I'll have a custom rod on display that I'm donating for the Linesville Hatchery Baitfish Fund. The auction is to raise money to feed the musky fingerlings more baitfish so they are larger when they get stocked.

The rod is the Lamiglas 102XH (8'6" XH) with a cranberry metallic finish. I used a little Bullard classic silver mineral over the black wraps to give it some pop. Guides are American Tackle Virtus Lite Ringlocks which are much more durable than the standard guides used on most rods. The grips are x-flock and have a very nice feel to them. They are firm grips, much like cork, but they are velvety (is that a word?) to the touch. The rear grip is 18" and the fore grip is about 5". I'm hoping to see the rod raise a good bit of money, it goes to a great cause.

Wow Jeremy. I think you just gave me an idea for the rod I will have you make for my 7 yr old on my TI blank! Love the accents on that rod and the handle look. Can't wait to see the others you take to the Michigan show!

Thanks Gerry and James. I was really hoping to make it to the Butler show but it just didn't work out this year. I'm hoping to make it next year. It's a great show and is very well run.

My take from the butler show! And for the fans of Legend lures, theres a new 6" version of the perchbait with a fatter body and the same lip as the bigger perchbaits.

This was my first year at the Butler show and I thought it was quite nice. Some really good talks and great venders (I love seeing those "Ellwood City" baits, which are hard to find). Also, those new 6" Legends are nice! I bet if the roads were a little better, there would have been more people (though, I thought the turn out wasn't too bad). I am looking forward to next year.

P.S. James, great deal on your rods through Brian! I ordered a 9'0" XH Telescopic and I can't wait for it to arrive!
