What is everyone's opinion on the Lund Predator 2010? I was really impressed with the boat from what I can see on line but have never seen one in person. I'm from the Ozarks and those style of boats are rare around here. I'm used to bass boats but love some of the features of a larger boat like the 2010. Storage, Speed, motor, durability, any good information will be appreciated!!

Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Everything you mention about the boat is true. I've fished out of a Predator a few times and have run a number of them. The only downside to the boat is the rod locker. I think it holds up to a 7'6 rod in the locker but other than that, awesome boat!

These are great rigs. Very comfortable as you sit pretty far back in the hull. The front casting deck is very close to if not all of 9 feet long. Huge!Tons of storage in these rigs, and maxed out with a 225 Verado of Pro XS they top out between 56 to 60 mph , depending on load, etc. Very solid feel to 'em and probably the closest thing to a bass boat that you will find in a deep V aluminium rig. They can also handle the big stuff very well.

Posts: 579 Location: deephaven mn | yup rod storage is a problem, lund is not the only company making this mistake but in this boat the deck is huge but yet rod sorage is short, hmmmm..... let the manufactorers know maybe they will listen

Posts: 566 Location: Elgin, IL | This model has a great layout, and has everything you would expect from Lund, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this rig. I don't own one, but if I could....I would. * Rod storage is last on my list when it comes to buying a good boat.

Posts: 221 | Great Rig minus the 7.5 rod locker... been SCREAMING at Lund to change things so I can buy one (I want one REALLY BAD!!!), but they seem to still want to listen to... well, whoever they listen too, who think a 60" Livewell is still important for Musky fishing... meh... Useless for a Musky fisherman. GREAT for tournament Bass guys who can section off the livewell for culling purposes. Hopefully Lund wakes up and at least makes a 9' rod locker an option instead of that aquarium they have up front. Otherwise the platform and layout of the boat are perfect for musky fishing. You can most likely fit rods up to 8' 6" in the side box. I can get rods up to 8'6" in the side boxes of my Lund 2010 Explorer. The only rod that doesnt fit is my 9' Big Nasty but then again it isn't in rod storage too often!! LOL

I love mu '11 Predator 2010. Rigged up with a 225 ProXS (21P Tempest II) full load, full of fuel with two 210lbs guys I see about 56mph out of mine. With minimal load and a have tank about 58mph. The factory position for the motor is too low in my opinion and I am going to move the engine up a hole or two on the transom. As for rod storage, the 7-5" is too short for muskie rods. Heck, its a little short some some of my bass rods... but you can fit 5 8ft rods in the side rod compartment.
