Posts: 11 | If you haven't seen the main page topic for the Operation Muskie fundraising banquet yet, take a look. It will take place on March 17, at the Quilted Bear in Germantown, WI. Just north of Milwaukee. We are putting together a banquet this year as our main fundraiser and running a smaller online auction leter on. The banquet will be on the same order as most other wildlife type banquets with lots of great raffles and auctions going on. A bunch of us guides from Operation Muskie will be there and hopefully some past vcets as well. We also are having a special guest appearence by Dick Pearson. To make the banquet as profitable as possible we are looking for donations in the form of guns, muskie and other fishing equipment, all kinds of outdoor merchandise, framed prints, and any type of collectable items for the auction. Of course cash donations are welcome as well. Please contact me with any questions or inquiries, thanks. Posts: 11 | Doug, I sent you a personal message but don't have a clue if it got to you, send me an email. On a side note, wouldn't it be cool if we had both Dick Pearson AND Doug Johnson at the banquet. Paul

Posts: 144 Location: Loves Park, IL | On a side note, wouldn't it be cool if we had both Dick Pearson AND Doug Johnson at the banquet. I wonder if they would eat their banquet dinner like they fish?...One would dive into a huge salad and nibble on every little piece of lettuce until the bowl was spotlessly clean. The other would jump from baked potato to baked potato to baked potato to baked potato...and at the end of the dinner they would both be full! Ha! Both are great fisherman and very successful in their techniques. Jeff Edited by JBlanck 1/8/2012 11:01 AM

Posts: 11 | To all those attending the Chicago Musky show, stop in by Chad Cain's booth if you want to know a little more about Operation Muskie. They also have fliers/invite sheets at the front door for anyone interested in attending the banquet on March 17. This is our major fundraiser for the year and we need a great turnout to help say thanks and get 20 vets on the waters of lake of the Woods this year. Thanks, Paul

Posts: 11 | Hi Lance, Yup, we'll still be doing an online auction some time in April. The auction has been getting a little weeker every year, thats why we decided to try a banquet as an alternative fundraising event. Paul www.operationmuskie.com

Posts: 1438 | Jeff - Now that was funny... I laughed so hard I coughed. I can just picture the serving table with Doug and Dick on top of it....
