We work with KVD on numerous pieces and he talks about how important the Hydrowave is. Just about everyone of the bass pros have one on their boat, it should work for muskies too, especially on lakes with a shad base.

Because skill and knowledge - plus technological advances - equal more fish??

I'd need to know that this thing fires up muskies - not just bass - before shelling out the coin.

That could be and probably has been said about every advance in fishing gear since the cane pole.

True steve, but shelling out coin for the latest reel like a tranx or a new and lighter rod isnt the same as pressing a button to "initiate a feeding frenzy" Am I the only one that thinks this takes away from the sport? not just for muskie but even for bass? Not trying to sound like d*ck so I apologize if I am but If you caught more fish wouldnt you want it to be a result of you learning better technique and skill than pressing a button? Thats just my opinion though

I think we have a clip somewhere we shot with KVD that puts in in perspective. I'll look around and post it if I can find it after the Chicago show.

I don't see it any different than other methods used in several styles of fishing. Example being, chumming, dragging teasers around then throwing a bait at the fish when it comes in, Lights in the water. Lots of stratigies used like this for saltwater and some fresh water. The Hydrowave, just like most things today is just a little more advanced.

With the few times I can get to the lake to fish, any advantage that is ethical to use I don't see a probelm with. Just my thoughts on it.

Anyone want to buy a Colorc-selector I'll throw in an Oxygen Monitor and if I can find the PH meter you can have that too.

sounds like something that will only help you where there are shad though, unless it might work as imitating tulibee and whitefish??

So if they came out with a new cologne guaranteed to get you more chicks would you buy it or just rely on your dashing good looks and charming personal disposition for sport!?!? I bet most of you guys would buy it (probably bathe in it and take a few swigs just for an extra kick) especially if it wasn't a gimick. Problem is most things to good to be true usually are.

I've thought about this in the past. If you have ever been wading in a creek and spooked a schoold of suckers or carp, you know that some of the disturbance is very discernable, even from a fair distance. Might work.

I would also take the ph monitor and 02 monitor if you have them, ah, but send that color-C-lector home.

I used the Biosonix, which was the precursor to the hydro wave, for 2 years fishing mostly for muskies but a little bit for smallmouth. I could not tell that it made a significant difference. I caught a few more muskies on the figure 8 while the machine was running but not enough to convince me it helped. In bass fishing, I too caught a few more fish with the unit running than with it off. I must point out that I had the Biosonix running more often than not running. It was a neat new toy that I enjoyed using and I do not regret my purchase. I was happy with its resale value.
