We have a 165 SC Alumacraft, that will only hold 7ft. rods. Is there any way to open the end of the storage up? Thanks Doug

If your boat is a Navigator 165 SC you should have no problem getting 8ft rods into the rod locker. I've put an 8'6" in mine, but knocked the ceramic insert out of the tip getting it back out. If you look way up towards the bow, you'll see a rib (stringer?) and a support for the front deck that are only about 3" apart. Kinda tricky, but it can be done, a rod case or sleeve helps.
