| I am sick and tired of worrying about my trailer bearrings and want a fix. I keep puting grease in them becuase they indicate they are not full, sometimes every trip out. That's going to lead to a seal failure eventually becase that grease has to go somewhere. I'm thinking about replacing them with the Liqui-Lube hubs. Are they as good as they sound? Is it possible I could really be maintenance free for years? What do they cost to purchase parts and what does it cost to have them installed? Can anyone trailer shop install them or do they have to be experienced with this product? Is Liqui-Lube the OEM for the liquid hubs on Ranger trailers?
Thanks. |

| Luke, I got no experience with liquilube, but I will tell you that all commercial vehicles non-driven axles rely soley on this concept. Heavy grease cannot penetrate all nooks and crannies as liquids can. The only thing I have a question about is complete submersion in water, but I believe the seals are double or tripple flanged. I am getting ready to buy a new trailer and am going with this setup. Until then I will be on the lookout for the grease fairies.

| I will answer part of my own question...$99 for the parts, labor from $65 and up. Not a bad deal if they are as good as they sound. Would love some more feedback from anyone who is using this system.
Thanks. |

| I installed them on my trailer this spring and have been extremely satisfied. My hubs don't even get warm after 100+ miles. They were real easy to install and their service is excellent. I feel much more confident in my bearings than I did with plain grease as this is a completely closed system. They have had semi's with 500,000 miles on one set of bearings with this system, that's impressive. |

| I have been using the liqui-lube system on my trailer for 4 years with no problems at all after the intial installation. The seal wasn't exactly right but was fixed the first week. They have been great ever since.
Steve Worrall was involved with their development, he would be a good place to start with any questions. |

| It has been two years with them on my trailer, and to say the least, I am satisfied. No more messy grease splatter, and as mentioned in a previous post, they don't get hot....even after 230 miles. |

| Luke, I don't believe this is the same brand as Ranger hubs but it is the same technology. I worked in the trucking/hydraulic industry for over 10 years and as the previous post stated, all over the road trucks/trailers rely on this technology.
I have run them for several years and will be puting them on any trailer that doesn't come with them. Much better than grease....No more worries about smoking a bearing on the way to Canada or a longer trip...
Make sure they've got oil and forget it.
