Yep...it's about that time to start thinking about the swap meet Slammer! Let's get some details going. I am guessing same time/same place as the past few years. This is always a great event for all!

P.S. I will have 3 large tackle boxes of baits to sell/trade along with the boxes themselves, rods (Grandt and G Loomis) and reels (Shimano 400, 400TE, 401TE, Curado 301 and saltist), dual planer mast and boards.

If it's the same as last year, it'll be here : (Official's Time Out Hoffman Estates, IL), swap meet starts at 7PM, (Saturday night) food drive again, prizes to be given out. More details to come as the date gets closer!

Just talked to the owners of the location, yes January 14th. Only difference is that the event will be down in the bar this year.

Will have more details (sponsors and the such) as we approach the date.

Is there enough room in the bar? Didn't they have it there a few years ago?

We get all of the bar area downstairs, much more space than we had 4yrs ago: At the price we pay for the space (free) and what is charged of people to go to the event (free) we will adapt.

That beats dragging boxes of crap through the bowling alley and up those #*^@ stairs. And then when Samantha wants another beer or 13 she can just walk over to the bar and get it.

Just a suggestion based on my experience the last 3 years... and now especially since we'll all be in the bar area. Whoever is organizing this event with Official's Time Out, please explain the quantity of people that will be there and ask them to staff appropriately for drink AND food service. They have really good food there, but the food service has been very very very very slow for the past few years. I don't think they plan for our crowd of hungry and thirsty people! I'm very much looking forward to this swap meet event again this year! Don't forget to bring your canned goods for donating! Thanks much to the organizers!!!

If anyone is thinking of bringing stuff to sell, I'm very interested in your old, unlucky and/or slightly used red bulldawgs. They can be all red or red with white tails - some even have a white belly. Let me know if you plan to bring some so we can be sure to connect when we're there. Thanks much!

This is actually the reason cited by the event people at Official's Time Out as to why they are moving us downstairs.

10 food item = 20 raffle tickets, BUT don't let that stop you from bringing extra food, it is for a GREAT Cause!!!!! Tickets will be drawn, prizes will be given out. Pretty Simple.
