| I've got both rods, but haven't cast the Nasty yet. I will say the Big Dawg is a great rod for all the baits you mention. I use my Big Dawgs for everything from blades to Mag Dawgs. Some say the BD has too soft a tip for blades, but using a Trinidad, it loads the tip nicely, and since I make my bucktails a bit heavier at about 4-6 oz, it casts them great. I do look forward to using the Nasy next year, but for me the BD is my go to rod for 90% of my fishing. |

Location: Hugo, MN | I picked up a Big Nasty this summer and had the handle extended 3". It is the best all around rod for the baits you mentioned that I've ever used. Sweet for double tens, big twitchers and mag dawgs, probably on the soft side for pounders, IMO. It was basically the only rod I used this fall. |

| If you throw pounders I would use the Big Dawg. If no pounders i would get the Big Nasty. |
