Posts: 32926 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The largemouth bass invasion of N WI waters increases in size and numbers each year. Not a good thing for Nr for muskies or walleyes. I'm pounding them through the ice, too. Fun fish to catch.

Location: SE Wisconsin | Well, assuming I have my new Ranger by the time opening day rolls around, I suppose I should try to fish more... ![]()

Posts: 440 | Definitely going to change over from stinkbait to cutbait. Kids get that Sonny's Super Sticky all over the carpet and man does it get ripe in the summer. Gonna try harder to hit the gill bite a little harder. Maybe try and get myself a muskie this year. Kids took all the bites last year. Last year may have been my most successfull year. Really need to hit a bass tournament or two with Dad.

Posts: 829 Location: Maple Grove, MN | Seriously, after rehabbing my shoulder this winter, I plan to throw larger lures much more. Specifically, I plan to throw more larger spinner baits in the 3 to 6 oz range using the same bump and grind technique that has proven so affective for us with small spinner baits. This is basically what Dick Pearson calls "grinding" combined with a very eradic presentation. There is something about pounding a lure right through weedbeds, against rocks and off timber that big fish simply cannot stand.

Posts: 476 Location: St. John, Indiana | 1-gonna try and get away from the main stream baits that every tom, dick, and harry is out there tossin around. 2- use more bass style swimbaits 3- smaller baits 4 -take a small break during the day and think about what i'm doing and go over notes that i have in my phone. i usually have a list of lures i want to try listed on my phone notes, and i never end up using them, and them i get home and look at my notes and say to my self "why didn't i try that" 5- biggest thing out of all...... enjoy being out there, smelling the roses, not thinking about what i have to do at work on monday and if i remembered to pay the water bill or not.
