| Trying to pick a "51" sized low pro baitcaster out for pike and tigers...I already have a curado 301 and love it but most of the pike and tigers I will run into will be around 5-10 lbs with a shot and some larger ones here or there and the smaller sized reels are cheaper. will mostly be throwing 6" jerk/glide baits, topwater, smaller inlines and spinner baits, etc. Was going to put it on 8'6 Okuma H EVX. Right now im looking into curado 201 E7 and DSHV, revo toro 51 (cant seem to find any of these anywhere now though, just winch 51s). Are there any other abu revos that work well as a pike/tiger reel? thanks for any input guys.

Location: Detroit River | If you're looking for a lefty Toro 51 you'll either have to buy used or find a place that has leftover stock because Abu no longer makes the Toro 51 or 61 in either the 5.4:1 or the 6.3:1.

| I can't believe Abu Garcia would discontinue lefty models, too. I thought that was their big selling point.
Bass Pro has 5.4:1 50s/60s on their website again. I haven't seen the 5.4:1 gear ratio for sale anywhere in awhile. Did Abu Garcia bring it back? Did Bass Pro have or get some left-overs? Typo? The last I heard 5.4:1 models were discontinued.
