Posts: 360 Location: Tinley Park. Fish Cen IL. Bass & Vilas Cty.Muskie | I would like to buy a few small groups of Bagleys DB06's db04's and shallow 04's. Perch, Firetigers, chromes and foils(scale ones). I know everyone has a few Bagley DB06's at the bottom of your box. I am looking for ones that are at least 5 years old and used. No China junk. I am also looking for big nimmer topwaters and Jed's Turmoils and Beer Bellys and topwaters in wood. I also will buy shallow shad raps in size 7 , 8 or 9 - $4 or $5 each. Make a little cash for lures you don't throw !! I love Hot spot maps, marked maps or even map books from the greater Midwest region. Have a GREAT 2012. Edited by basscaster 1/7/2012 9:07 AM

Posts: 2331 Location: SE, WI. | Basscaster; Just tried to help. Good luck finding bagleys at smokeys. They sold all their bagleys from china and don't plan on bringing any more in. Smokeys had more problems with the db04's, and db3 mags they recently brought in. Ya, the $15 ones!!! I Have sold many of these db04's. Try finding them on Ebay. They sell for $25 - $40. These db04's I posted were made in the states, run true, and are now collector bagleys. Sorry for posting on your thread....EXCUSE ME!!!

| JD you are 100% right, not only are most of the older Bagley true runners but they are very, very, expensive. Up until about 6 years ago I had One of the Largest collection of Bagley lures in the United States. My collection was valued and insured for $43,000. I collected unopened Older lures for 30 Years I had the original Bagley Book with every model, color, and code with a picture of each lure. I can proudly say I have had every bagley lure made. .....The DB Series was not a great piece for collectors but muskie Guys just loved the 06 series. I sold the Collection about 6 years ago and now only fish for Musky. I have about 30 real old foil DB06's that have produced for me year after year. These new lures are garbage compared to those, sure some will catch fish, but will not hold up and crack with little use..... | |||

Posts: 360 Location: Tinley Park. Fish Cen IL. Bass & Vilas Cty.Muskie | I still wished you would have e-mailed your pictures. I never pay over $10 for old db06's and I still find them all the time. I too have been hoarding lures (bass lures) for last 6+ years. I want 4 of the maps. Edited by basscaster 1/10/2012 4:20 AM

Posts: 743 | JD and Old Man 22 ,how can you tell the old ones from the new ones? How about the little fry series? I have some crawdads,a smallie,a perch, and a 4.5 inch walleye. Those crawdads were killers on smallies when I did alot of river fishing many many years ago. Are those little frys worth anything? As far as muskies go ,a db4 or 6 in crawdad on bone was a killer. Posts: 865 | KSauers It is pretty easy actually, a quick look at the uneven eyes located in different ares of the head. The old ones all look symmetrical for one, The older ones were ALWAYS in a plastic bubble with a light woodgrain pattern. Anything with blue, yellow and red packaging are newer. Also The older divers all have all have Lead in the Lips. Newer ones do not have this either...But the #1 best way for sure and is 100% is that all the metal split ring holders and butt loops are NEVER silver in color and were ALWAYS made of copper/brass....................... This type new are collector lures...... Mike
