Posts: 532 | I have a 6 year old Power Drive 55 with copilot. Today when fishing when i hit the "on" part of the foot pedal nothing happened. So i thought its time to replace that (i have needed to get a new foot pedal in the past), so i hit "on" with the remote still nothing. It turns right and left, but will not turn on. I do hear a click sound in the main houseing when i hit "on" with both remote and pedal, a sound that is normal for me to hear, but no "go" So does anyone know what could be wrong and is it worth fixing it? Or should I just go get a new motor, i really do not want to have to go buy new.

Posts: 532 | No, I have tried every thing to make the motor spin and nothing will make the motor turn. The prop spins freely, as i turned it by hand. very smooth and nothing wierd feeling at all when turning it by hand Like I said earlier i can turn right and left just fine with the foot and the remote. So it has me puzzled?!? Edited by anzomcik 11/2/2011 6:54 PM

Posts: 1887 Location: syracuse indiana | unplug the copilot and take it out of the equation.. and check all the plugs for corrosion and spray them with high electric contact cleaner. that will take all the blue crap off of the copper posts

Posts: 532 | I did the unplug (removing the co pilot from the system) and clean, with no change.

Posts: 532 | The issue was corosion on the ground wire plug connecters in the housing that sits on top of the motor shaft. This issue is not the fault of the unit.
