| I was hoping to improve my net buy trying to give it a hook proof coating has anyone ever tried this on there nets ? I was thinking that a can of plastic dip brushed on might work? any other ideas would be great .

| Probably the best bet is to see if Frabill or beckman have replacement bags for sale, already coated.
The cost of the coating and difficulty in geting it evenly on the used bag may be prohibitive. |

| I have a Beckman with this coating and I can't say I'm 100% sold on it.
Pros:
-Hooks WILL NOT get stuck in the netting
Cons:
-I think it scratches the fish a little
-Since it's a heavier netting diameter, it's tougher to net by yourself because of drag in the water
-I don't know if this one is any different, but I find it difficult to untangle the lure from the net after it's been thrashing around a bit.
Just my experience.

| There's an even easier solution- use barbless hooks! If they do get stuck the come out easy. I have a Beckman Husky Musky w/ treated bag and my last fish was netted by Ranger in a treated Frabill. No problems.

| Ferd,
I tried the plastic dip on my Frabill. I wouldn't recommend it. It made the bag very stiff, plus it's a pain and a mess to apply.
Looking for a replacment bag.
