Was wondering if anyone has advice for Mille Lacs form now until it freezes? I've thrown jerkbaits and spinnerbaits with no success. Because there is no turnover, should I be concentrating on the same structure that I fished during the summer? Am I using good presentations? I here a lot about using suckers this time of year, but am unsure what the best presentation is and what is best for successful releases. Inline spinners or quick-strike rigs? I've only been fishing Muskie for a few months so any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Slayer - I'm far from a pro but have been reading up on late fall fishing a bit because I'm planning on trying to fish to the very end this season. Here's a Jim Saric quote I came across in the 11/99 Musky Hunter mag...

"In fall, breaklines are key areas to locate big muskies. During warmer trends they can be found shallower on top of flats, and there are always some big muskies roaming open water, but the breakline between the shallow flats and the open water is the place to focus your efforts."

Hmmm.....
