What colors are good for really brown muddy water? I had a musky follow my black/orange bucktail, i could barely see it in 6 inches of water.

Do you mean you were fishing in 6 inches of water? Or was that the visibility? Don't know about orange blades, but in bucktails a gold blade and yellow tail has good visibility. A firetiger blade and a black tail also stands out. The firetiger combo of colors seems to do well in dark water. Also orange bellied perch. Chartreuse is also visible.

Jailbird, Orange, White, and blk/org seems to be good everywhere.

the musky was 6 in from the surface of the water.
