Posts: 264 | Muskiefever is a fishing buddy of mine I was just kidding around. On a serious note the WBL bite is definately better at night, but nothing special IMO.

Posts: 829 Location: Maple Grove, MN | I don't know about Tonka right now either. On most years we catch a majority of fish on Tonka. This year we're catching fish everywhere else and only two small fish on Tonka so far. Hopefully Tonka will get going in the next few weeks.

Posts: 829 Location: Maple Grove, MN | Everyone catching fish on Minnetonka? That is big news to me. Everyone I have talked to at the landings, on the water, at Thornes, have all said the same thing. They are seeing smaller fish in the shallows and a few on the deep edge. If one hunts the open water, one can occasionally find larger fish. That is exactly what I'm seeing too. I was out on Minnetonka this past Saturday and saw a fair number of sub 40 inch fish in the shallows, but nothing that was even interested in hitting. I talked to a couple of other boats coming in at the same time as I did and neither even saw fish. One boat did mention catching a few mid-30 inch fish lately, which is about what we've been able to muster. I'm thinking that the fishing should pick up as water temps go down. But then that can be said for all the area lakes. After all, most MN lakes reach their peak during September and early October - correct?
