Posts: 1316 Location: Lebanon,Mo | A well deserved thanks to the members below for donating baits and tackle for Luke Miller who was in the May tornado in Joplin,Mo.I presented the donations to him a couple weeks ago and he was just speechless.Luke and his wife lost everything, but they are alive and well because they took shelter in the basement of there home when they heard the sirens. And it's not the fact it was just the people below who helped,it's the fact it was a community on the internet that most of whom i have never met in person.Below is some pictures i took on the weekend i helped Luke cleanup and move things to storage that were salvageable. This was a very very strong tornado, deadliest single tornado on record. It tracked through the middle of a city and damaged/leveled over 7000 homes, not including businesses. The picture over the pond was where the tornado started to gain strength and every home on the other side of the hill was leveled where the hospital was.The picture with the truck belong to St.Johns hospital and was found over 200 yards from where it was parked, nothing less the picture shows the strength of the EF-5 tornado, very disturbing..Thank you all!! Posts: 1 | This is my first time on the MuskieFIRST website and I logged in to personally thank all those who donated baits, tackle, a muskie rod, and prayers for myself and my family. A special thank you to my good friend, Fred Dearborn, who got this all started and I was amazed and feel extremely blessed to recieve the generous donations from all. I am also happy to report I had a chance to try out the new baits and tackle yesterday while fishing a day with Fred. We had a fantastic day on the lake, and I boated 3 muskies, all on donated baits. I will try to attach pictures. I wish you all a successful fall.
