The weather for all 3 days had clear blue skies, little or no breeze. Water temperature was 71 degrees on Friday falling to 68 degrees Sunday. Sunday saw dense fog on most of the lake making navigating difficult except at the state park marina which was clear allowing an on time start.
Our banquet was held on Saturday night with raffles and lure swaps. Everyone in attendance received a door prize.
Craig Fuller, the Muskellunge Program Coordinator from the MDC gave an update on the muskie program for Pomme De Terre Lake and provided the latest statistics from the Missouri Muskie Program results.
Jim “Coach” and Kathy Wilson provided a custom embroidered jacket to the person catching the most fish in the tournament.
That prize went to Tom Panek for his three muskies over the course of the event. Our thanks to them for this great looking jacket.
Toby English won the drawing for a free entry into next year’s tournament.
A lot of people and firms contribute to support this event. I would like to thank Becky at the outfitters grill and Laura at the State Park Marina for opening up early to accommodate the participants.
