| So I took out a couple of buddies who are walleye guys. I gave them a couple of my favorite bucktails to use, one of them being a homemade on and another that I have no idea where i got. Not long into the trip my buddy goes "whoops" and starts laughing. backlash=lost homemade bucktail. Not that big of a deal..... Now about a half an hour later my other buddy tries to cast my favorite small bucktail 500 yds.... Needless to say its now at the bottom of the lake. I have no idea what it was called and cant find it anywhere! I got it for a gift about 5 years ago. It was about a #5-6 Olympic gold blade with brown bucktail and a single treble. It had about 6 really heavy beads and it could cast as far as a Reef Hawg on a good day. If anyone knows what I am talking about let me know please!! Shoot me some possibilities! |

| I'm not sure what an olympic blade is either but the rest of it sounds like it could be a grimm reaper. Do you know if there was a sticker on the blade? You may want to look at their website. |

| I took a look at grimreapers website and the blade is the same style as the "Grimreaper 1100" the lure its self doesn't quite look the same. thanks for the info though! And I cant remember if there was a sticker on it when i got it or not. There hasn't been one on it since I can remember.

| You'll hear Olympic blades also called 'turtle shell.' A-Team uses a lot of Olympic blades, and the old Grimm Reaper used to have a heavy stamped (like 0.4) Olympic blade on some of their straight bucktails. Grimm Reaper also used to make all their lures with those nice, big, soild beads that were over-sized and super heavy. My bet is that this is the bait you lost. I still have many..a great blade company that has totally gotten lost in the marketing/fad shuffle. Pretty much the only spinnerbaits or bucktails in my boat that I don't make myself. (And I've chopped plenty of em for their beads etc lol.) Their overhead spinnerbaits (model 950??) are fish catchers. A very tough, well-built lure. . |

bllhogg Is this the one you are looking for ? BTW, the Magnum Willow (same shape as Olympics) 0.40 gauge are available in LakeLand Catalog (pages 135-137)

| Thanks for the help! I'm pretty sure it has to be one of the Grimm Reapers based on what you guys are telling me and the lack of other thoughts on what it could be. I've been all over the internet looking for the lure I lost and the Grimm Reaper has to be it. Looks like Ill have to get one or two to see if it is the same. |
