New for me. The owner's manual says not to use any fuel additives other than from Evinrude. I have used Stabil in my '96 Evinrude for years without problems. Anyone have any words of wisdom regarding the Etec and Stabil?

I only run the E-Tec 2+4 fuel conditioner in my 08' 225 E-Tec H.O. I was told by my dealer that this should be the only fuel additive to use with my engine. The manual also states that this should be used, especially if you have a warranty on your E-Tec. Feel free to go to: www.etecownersgroup.com. They can address and answer any questions you may have. I'm sure stabil is fine but if still under warranty please make sure it's the right move. The 2+4 conditoner is great and I've had no issues with using it at all.
