im gonna be buying a 520c, and was wondering what the difference is between the pucks- the guy im buying it from has the 2000 on it now, but when i go on the interweb they are being sold with the 3000- so my question is whats the difference-      thanks

If I am not mistaken the LG2000 is discontinued and replaced with the LG3000 or LG4000. I am running my 520' with the LG2000 puck and still going good yet. The newer pucks are suppose to get better signal which will relate to fast response time on the screen.

the 3000 is hard to get as its not widely available. i waited a few months to get mine off of backorder. the 4000 is now mainstream. ( i have the 520c). i would suggest calling Lowrance directly and order it from them. However, make sure you ask them if the 4000 will work with the 520c.. i was told by my dealer that it is NOT compatible.

The LGC-3000 was standard with the LCX and the LMS-520 series. The LGC-4000 does work with the 520 and is the only option when looking to replace a LGC-3000 puck.
