To say there is one better than the other isn't really possible in my opinion. Both cards will have benefits the other card doesn't. I would suggest checking out a friends card or going into a place like The Reel Shot, Scheels, Gander Mountain, etc and have them show some of the lakes you fish on one of their demo units. You then can choose which card you like best.

I prefer the Navionics for my HDS units because it offers many of the lakes I fish in High Definition with 1' contours. It also covers MN, WI, MI, IL, and IA lakes. To me, the Navionics cards are the way to go because they have more to offer.

I personaly dont like how the lakemaster is 100% blue.. I like the deeper water being white on the navionics, not to mention navionics has MN and the other states TJ mentioned.(I guess I did fish in IA once this year too, was nice to have contours)
Both are accurate enough, but will not be 100%
