What are your go to colors for jerks, topwater and bucktails?

It seems I have always done good with silver jerks and black topwater.

Even breaking it down by lures that is a pretty broad question. Depends on time of year, water temp, water color, sunny, cloudy.

Don't get caught up TO MUCH on color description. Yea it plays some role in Musky fishing according to the water color and weather, but if a Musky sees a bait it will most likely take it or follow it just from the vibration or movement of the bait. In other sports fish for example when Bass fishing, color plays a WAY more vital part just because of the fish species itself. Musky's are top predators, they will attack everything and anything, heck, they sometimes jump in the boat for your lure at BOAT SIDE!

Overall anything with black, gold or orange seems to be good colors in general. I personally like to mix in baitfish colors to match with the lakes I fish.....when I get to fish

Action is more critical than color. If you have the right color if it lacks action you won't get a look from a muskie.

Do you guys throw solid black lures? or do they have some red or orange on them?

Did I put too much color on this one? Im thinking of going over it with some more black.

That would be sweet with a white belly!

An office chair fisher here (but you gotta work):
Bucktails: silver blade, black tail (it goes without saying); gold blade, brown tail, black tail, yellow tail; firetiger blade, black tail.
Jerks, Cranks: for clear water, natural patterns, silmilar to what the predators are looking for; for dark water, firetiger and brighter colors, but nothing too funky.
Topwater: black; natural with a white belly.
