I am going to Lake of the Woods again this year, and I want to be able to throw big bull dawgs and cowgirls. I have a set up that can throw the magnum bull dawgs. And it easily throws topwater and mid sized spinner baits. I have a rod ordered from Cabelas. I need a suggestion for a reel that can throw those big lures. I talked to a local musky guy and he said bright colors work well up there. Any lure suggestions too? Thanks.

Saltist 40 HA. On my 3rd season with it, and use it exlusively for those lures. Big and heavy so needs to be balanced out with a long rod..min 8'6".
