I'm going to the Hayward Area next week and would like to try fishing these lakes. I'm not looking for spots but pointers would be helpful. Also if anyone could tell me how the boat ramps/parking/break-in issues are that would be greatly apprecaited!

Lost land and teal good numbers lake and a few big fish. The landing is alright, little steep but I get my 18' Tundra in just fine. They do have a 10 mph speed limit on both lakes. Look around the weeds that grow to the surface. Good luck, have fun.

Yeah man---lots of numbers in Lost land/Teal. I used to fish there with Pete Maina years ago-----lots of action and pretty decent potential for a big fish. Jerkbaits and blades were the mainstay back then----they will probably be a good way to start now. Try the mouth of the channel between LL and Teal---there were ALWAYS a few fish in that area.---Good luck, Jobu

Why do you say that? I park there every fall with no issues... something I'm missing? Coming from the east that landing adds a half hour to our fishing time (we mainly fish Teal)

Be very careful going from the upper (not sure if LL or Teal if the upper one) down to the lower one. The water gets to about 1' to 0' deep at the mouth on the right side of the river that connects the two. I cracked the gelcoat off the keel of my boat running into it. Someone put the hazard buoys in the channel instead of where the actual hazards were.
Not much to worry about on Namekagon as far as hazards go. If the water temp is 75 or above fish deeper.

Some big rocks out there and you will see some boats doing mach one across both lakes but take your time and you will do fine. Get a map before you venture out. Stay in the middle of the channel when going from one lake to the other.

The reason Muskerboy said to avoid the Teal landing is due to the fact that it is more of a canoe launch than a boat launch. We learned from experience the hard way back in June. The water was low then, even now it makes for a difficult launch. I would highly recommend putting in a Lost Land and taking the trip down the river between the two lakes. Will save you a beached boat and sweat soaked battle.

The landing is pretty iffy on the flowage and there are quite a few hazards 50 yards before teal. They have one marker buoy for them but there is just a small gap to go between rocks. The river between Lost Land and Teal is fine as long as you stay in the middle.

namekagon boat ramps are decent shouldnt have a problem with any boat. I would pry fish a little deeper than normal right now. The weedlines are running out to 15-18 ft deep that would be a good starting point. pm if you want to talk about it more.
