Can anyone tell me about cell phone coverage whie staying at Herbie's place?

I am planning to add "international" to my cell package before I leave, so I can use it in Canada but was wondering about cell coverage at the camp itself?

Cell coverage is hit or miss. I was up last year and members of my party had AT&T and Verizon. We were able to make some calls, however, you would be better off buying a phone card which you can use at the main lodge's pay phone on the deck. It would also save you some coin instead of adding International coverage.

It hasn't been too bad for us while we are up there and we have sprint as our carrier. I don't know about any other carrier.

Verizon works best and I agree on the card. If your going to stand out on the payphone you needmto bring a bugsuit. Have a great trip!

If I add International to my cell phone package right before I leave and then cancel it as soon as I get back it will only cost $10.
That is cheaper than a calling card.

Thanks for the feedback fellas !!

Depending on your carrier, you have to have it for a month.... or they pro-rate your minutes that are included, becareful there since I got burned once with doing what you said.
