Subject: Trailer Wiring Issue

Last night on the way home I had a marker light come unplugged. I stopped and tried to plug it back in with the lights on so I could kind of see what I was doing and must have touched something in the wrong spot because I got a little spark and blew a fuse in the vehicle. I switched a few things around in the vehicle and made it home with a few missing lights here and there.

Fast forward to this morning. I fixed all the fuses and now my right rear taillight is acting up. Not sure if it is related or not though. When the lights are turned on I get nothing in the right rear taillight. No taillight, brake light or turn signal. Everything else works fine. When the lights are turned off everything works fine. I have brake lights and turn signal in the right rear taillight. My first thought was it was an issue with a relay in the vehicle, but I hooked it up to my other vehicle and I get the same thing so it has to be in the trailer.

Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

get a test light and test the circuit.could just be a bulb.is this a led or standard system?also are all other light on trailer working ,they could be hooked up in series.

test that corner for power and ground .if your missing one ,you have to trace back to next exposed area towards power and ground sorce.if you do have power and ground at the socket ,the socket contact to bulb or bulb are bad .it sounds like a general discription but its a hard thing to talk threw without looking at it .where do you live.

Had similar problem before the season started. Consider the simplest solution 1st- poor ground on the ground wire, burned bulbs, fuse, broken wire on the trailer, broken wire in the vehicle harness.
