Posts: 75 | Hey guys, just got back from Webster Lake, Indiana. This is my 3rd time going to the lake and I think I have figured out the Muskies! We boated 3 Muskies and saw and lost about 5 at boat-side. This year, I was prepared with the right tackle and release techniques that many of you on here helped me out with. I like to thank everyone for their support and educational information when fishing for these elusive fish! Here are 2 of the 40+ I caught on the trip! We released all 3 cleanly which was my biggest goal of the trip! 1st Fish http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h42/socaplaya38/DSCN2910.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h42/socaplaya38/DSCN2911.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h42/socaplaya38/DSCN2914.jpg 2nd Fish http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h42/socaplaya38/DSCN2924.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h42/socaplaya38/DSCN2925.jpg Edited by EvErNoOb 6/27/2011 1:47 AM

| How is Stimilators these days? No report on N. Webster area lakes is complete without a Stimi's report included. | |||

Posts: 75 | Yea, we were thinking about going to Tippy for our first time on Monday, just for the day to check it out, but we were fished out I guess. So I think we are going to go there next time. How is the fishing on Tippy? I heard there are bigger fish, just not as many as Webster, this true? It's awesome to hear that people are talking about us because this is our 3rd time going and we pull out fish every-time, yes Webster is LOADED, but that weekend NOBODY was catching anything and I pull out 2 40s and we missed another 4! I guess I can just read the Muskies now, it's kind of weird, just thinking like a Musky you know hahah.. Sound's good, I will let you know next time we go out there buddy!

Posts: 75 | I wouldn't call it luck, we caught fish everyday!? 3 Muskies then 4 misses? That's 7 fish in the boat almost 40% rate of catch is pretty good! Luck has a lot to do with it, like i said I think i figured them out

| I've been fishing webster, Barbee,Tippy for about 15 years with pretty good sucess number wise and a few giants in the boat over the years . But every time you think you got those lakes figured out they usually put you right back in your place . | |||

Posts: 81 Location: Van Buren, Indiana | Nice Job Noob! Beautiful fish! I think your right! With those "Mad Skillz" you have now! You should put them to test next May and fish our Hoosier Muskie Classic!! The largest "Unrealized" attribute to your success was the warmer, stable temperatures, (everyones been waiting on) have finally arrived and with experience you will find that the fish will turn on! The real success you should look for is consistency, can I raise and boat fish under diverse conditions. Hitting the water at Ideal conditions is easy, 30 mph winds at 38-40 degrees is a different situation, under those conditions can I move fish, that's where the challenge comes in! But I give ya props on some beautiful girls, can't deny that! Keep fishin' but Challenge yourself! Edited by Ifishtolive 6/30/2011 8:37 PM

Posts: 75 | Thank you! So far over the 2 years I haven't had any "SLUMPS" yet. We don't fish for musky a lot, that's probably the reason why, but again, I consider myself a bit of a "LUCK BALL", I did catch my first musky on my SECOND CAST ever fishing for them

Posts: 322 | There is nothing like fishing in someone’s back yard. Every time I go to Webster I remember why I never enjoy fishing Webster. Whether I'm catching muskie or not it's like fishing in a swimming pool. Concrete all the way around the tiny lake with people on speed boats zipping around you all day. I guess for me the natural scenery adds to enjoyment for me.

Posts: 75 | I also agree with Muskymandan - we weren't able to fish in the afternoon a lot because of all the crazy ass boaters that try to speedboat and jetski on lake that is less than 700 acres - which is crazy because there are so many other BIG ASS LAKES in the area! peees me off, I can see what you are saying though, houses everywhere, only on side with woods, docks everywhere, but hey, it has fish, it's like a little playland.

Posts: 1887 Location: syracuse indiana | thats kosciusko county for ya!!! we are the county with the most lakes in Indiana, thats why i picked the name for my guide service along time ago... Hoosier Heartland Guide Service if you look at where the county is on the map. it looks like it would be the heart of indiana.. we just get used to it and the fish do too... but also remember there are so many lakes around here that have musky in them thant you can chase them on some smaller waters too and get away from the lakers....bill Edited by archerynut36 7/1/2011 11:33 PM
