hello guys, I'm going to buy a shimano trinidad use with heavier baits. I would be interested in size 16. what differences there are between 16 and 16N? and what do you recommend? thank you very much

I have the 16N and I really like it. I have both the older (gold) and newer versions of the reel and it the best out there (IMHO) for buring big blades and chucking big rubber. The New 16NA is smaller that the old one and a bit easier to cast. It still has the same line capcity but the body has been changed up a bit. I have never thrown the 16 as most of the guys I know that have them all have the N as well.

Basically, 16 and 16N are exactly the same except for the spool... 16N has narrower spool than the 16, hence the "N" at the end of 16N...
