is there any reason for keeping the ones that will only turn one way or wont turn at all? I guess I am asking if anyone rebuilds these things or does anyone have a use for the 4-5 old ones that I have??

Hiya,

In most cases when your pedal goes bad, it is due to the electrical contact point that goes out. so...to rebuild I would think would require a new board (or new contact point), then the solder work to get everything buttoned back together, and a reassembly of the foot pedal. Unless you can make it turn here and there, I would say your pedals are better off being dumped...unless someone needs parts like a new foot pedal bed, rocker arms, etc...

For Minn Kota, it is probably cheaper for them to just replace the pedal than repair it.

Steve
