I was checking out the Shadillac on R&H site today! Does anyone have any experience/luck with them? They seem a little pricey!

Thanks. Brian

its basically a hard bodied Storm Kickin Minnow, ive never used one but have held on in my hands, very well built with cool colors.

I have one I used last year, but I didn't use it much. I remember it being pretty heavy (the bait is built like a tank) and using the rod I throw mag dawgs with.

I picked 1 up at the Michgan show for $30 & can't wait to try it. A buddy of mine has a few & he likes them.

I picked up a couple shallow invaders at the show instead of the shadillac. I looked at them but knowing how much I like shallow invaders, I couldn't really see where I would use the shadillac instead. They do look like a great bait and I'm sure a lot goes into making each one but not worth the $ IMO. I'll probably have to pick one up sooner or later though.

the shadillac swims awesome, I used it very little last year due to the setup i was running and forgot to have it in the boat most of the time. But yes very well built and awesome looking in the water.

I love the shallow invaders but the baits are two differnt tools, also one may last you a lifetime and one may last one poor cast or one fish. Pay now save later...

I have one that I used last year never caught a fish on it did raise several. The tail fell off several times just used some old unfixable kick n minnow tails. The lip fell out on me put a replacement lip from another lure in with gorilla glue and had no more problems gave it to a buddy for some kick n minnows as I personally have better luck on. But they defiantly have nice action and I want one of the new floaters as that is a different tool that I could use in a different situation.

I picked up a few at the Chicago show this year. Seems like a well built bait. I get a bunch of fish on swimbaits every year, so I'm hoping this will get bit just like the kick'n minnows and dunright baits. Will report after I get a chance to use it a bit.

No Kool-Aid hype with the Shadillac...the bait works, as most musky baits do. I have never once said it was a replacement to the kickin minnow...as I still buy 100 Kickin Minnows a year. Some might like it, some might not...but one this is sure, that bait is not just hype....it works and works well....if you got the chance to watch Musky Hunter Tv a few week ago, you got to see the bait in action first hand. And the baits weights 6 oz...which in my opinion isn't a "heavy" bait...the Kickin Minnow weighs 5.25 oz...so not much difference there. Also you can use a Shadillac at lower speeds than a kickin minnow and get better action....I've tested it many many times.

Mike, I have high hopes for your bait. I have a couple of bites in mind for working it around my area and will post results as I have some water time with the bait. I'll still have the kick'n minnows along as well as the dunwrights as I know they both work, and I'm sure we'll get some fish on your baits as well.

Mike, I own a shadillac I purchased direct from you and it does NOT swim at speeds as slow as kickin minows. Have there been any revisions to the bait since last May?

No revisions have been made since then, and I am a little confused to be honest. I have run them both, side by side many many times, for almost 2 years now and every Shadillac I have in my boat will swim at slower speeds than a kickin minnow.

These baits are solid and without question one of the best musky lures out there.

Hi Mike,
How is the production of the Shadillac going , well enough for custom colors or has it been hard just to keep up with the stores?
Thanks,
David

Finally got a chance to throw my shadillacs the other day and I'm thinking these things are going to get bit. Might be a little early yet for suspendos, although we did give them a good shot on Wednesday. Was throwing in a fast crank or two during the retrieve and those suckers throw some good flash! There will definitely be some fish visiting the net attached to these baits this year. Good work Mike.

Mike excellent action on your baits have taken a few nice fish on them late last year on georgian bay just wondering if you had any problems with paint I bought mine from r and h at the end of august and was touching them up almost immediatley.

How about hook size on these...they look pretty small. Anyone try changing out to one large hook?
